Good transition...

I have now 19 month old boy-girl twins, but I went back to work when they were three months old. They were born nine weeks early, at 31 weeks gestation, spent some time in the NICU and we brought them home in early May 2009.

I was blessed to be able to find a nanny who would come to us--a wonderful lady from my church, so I already had an idea of how trustworthy and good she was. Still, we did some transitioning.

I went back to work part time, 3 days a week, in July, and then started full time in September, so we had some transition time. I would recommend this schedule, if at all possible. It worked really well for us.

In the meantime, my now 11-year-old stepdaugther helped at home and continued with her normal school activities, and my husband helps too of course. I was never able to breastfeed my kids, so the bottle situation was just fine. All in all, it was a very easy transition.
