Bittersweet

We found out about the pregnancy at 9 weeks. As soon as we knew, the doctor ordered an Ultrasound, because I had 2 miscarriages prior to this pregnancy. The technician asked my husband to step out, in case something was not ok. I heard heartbeats at 2 separate parts of the ultrasound, but thought nothing of it. My first indication of possible multiples was when the technician asked if I was on fertility medicine. She brought my husband in, and showed us 2 tiny little babies. I cried, my husband cried. It was twins again. Our first miscarriage was twins. We found out at 8 weeks, and I miscarried at 9 weeks. Finding out it was twins again was bittersweet. Bitter as a reminder of our lost twins, sweet as a reminder they were in heaven, and sweet again for the 2 special ones I was carrying.
