The Working Moms of Twins Story

My name is Beth Strauss and I'm the author of this site and a working mom of fraternal twin girls.

My twin girls, who are now 12 years old, were born in May 1998. They were born full-term (I had to be induced two days after my due date, if you can believe that!) and weighed seven pounds, three ounces (Nikki) and six pounds, three ounces (Rory).

I was lucky to be able to stay home with them for 12 weeks on maternity leave but returned to my full-time corporate job afterwards as a manager of a busy marketing/communications department. So I understand, like many of you, how challenging it can be to hold down a stressful, busy job while raising twins, especially in the early years.

Right now, I am still working full-time but have been able to transition from a nine-to-five corporate job to a full-time freelance writing career, providing copywriting and consulting services to primarily financial services firms with my company Polestar Communications. Along with the twins, my husband and I and our youngest daughter, Mia, live in Cleveland, Ohio. I am a member of the Emerald Valley Mothers of Multiples Club.

The birth of

My Working Moms of Twins website grew from my passion for raising my own twin daughters and sharing my experiences and advice with other working moms of twins. It also provides me with an opportunity to grow a second, passive income over a period of time.

While I've always been interested in creating an income stream through an Internet-based business, most of the books I read in the past didn't provide an easy path for getting there quickly. Attending a writer's conference hosted by American Writers & Artists, Inc. in late 2009, I finally found what I was looking for. . . a money-making website course written and taught by Nick Usborne, an Internet and web copy expert. . . and was able to fulfill my dream. was born.

So along with Nick's course available through AWAI and SBI, short for SiteBuild It (recommended by Nick as the platform to use for this type of website), I was able to quickly and easily develop my site concept and publish it live on the Internet in less than two months. I now have the opportunity to share my passion for everything about raising twins with other working moms like me.

I look forward to hearing from you as the Working Moms of Twins community grows in the weeks, months and years to come. If you have any questions about this site, please contact me anytime.

Best wishes,

Beth Strauss
